Based on the way the human hand types on and moves around the keyboard, the Keyball transforms the shape of the regular flat keyboard into a sphere so that both hands can control the keyboard with better flexibility.

Command keys can be activated by various touch modes, such as pressing, swiping, holding, or with body movement. The interactive mode between the user and the keyboard is created according to one’s intuition and subconscious behavior, making it easier for users to remember.

︎Appearance Design | Typeface Design

The Keyball is composed of 180 triangles. All of which are divided into black and white colors. White triangles are keys and areas that are activated via direct touch.

The white keys consist of 26 letters and the main command keys. Their positions are arranged according to the general shape of the human hands and typical grip. In addition, there are three sensing areas on the back and bottom of the Keyball near the thumbs and pinkies. The users can swipe their fingers to flip a page, adjust the volume, screen brightness, etc. 

The surface texture design of all keys is inspired by Braille, which consists of raised points, lines, and curves. These patterns are a simplification of the twenty-six letters of the alphabet. The design aims to activate a user’s tactile memory through these raised textures. Additionally, these textures are designed to serve all users regardless of visual ability.

The Keyball is also useful in regards to creators of graphic design. Through physical movement designers can hold the keyboard with one hand or both hands and move in the air, and the virtual track will be recorded and converted into digital drawings on their computer.
