The 2025 Tianjin Juilliard Orchestral Symposium was held from May 26 to 31 in Tianjin and Beijing, China, bringing together student musicians, academic leaders, and cultural partners from 30 institutions worldwide for a week of chamber and orchestral performances, intercultural exchange, and a dialogue on the future of music education.
Inspired by the orchestral experience, this visual concept integrates a Chinese character “ 乐" an a conductor's baton, creating a dynamic fusion of traditional Chinese calligraphy and modern design elements. The interplay between the fluid calligraphy strokes and the baton’s sleek lines represents music as a universal language that bridges cultural divides.

“The Orchestral Symposium and Leadership Forum provide a special opportunity for music conservatory leaders and students from around the world to come together, meaningfully discuss the most important issues of our time related to music performance and education, and make music in a unique setting. Bringing together so many representatives of the global music community is a historic occasion that we hope will have a positive influence on music education in China and beyond.”
