The exhibition, Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2018 — Speed and Warmness, was showcased at the Red Dot Design Museum Xiamen in April of 2019. This marked the first instance where the Red Dot Award: Communication Design showcased its comprehensive award-winning works in China.
The exhibition featured over 700 award-winning works from 35 countries, exhibited through graphic images, physical objects, multimedia presentations, and interactive experiences. Notably, the exhibition presented 7 Red Dot: Grand Prix winners and 50 Red Dot: Best of the Best winners.
Inspired by Dr. Peter Zec's written introduction of the Red Dot Award: Communication Design 2018, I titled the exhibition "Speed and Warmness." The aim was to convey the sensation of "speed" through the latest technological innovations and digital advancements, while also promoting the notion of "warmness" via diverse communication design topics, such as social culture, human rights, and ecological environment, to raise public awareness of these vital issues.
